I also agree with this bill. But another problem this state has is the lack of effort that the state's Child Enforcement Division shows in pursuing and prosecuting delinquent, non-custodial parents. In most states, and this may be Texas's fault, ANYONE owing as much money as Mr. Snyder does in child support, would have a felony warrant issued against them and they would be arrested. Why is this not the case here? Of course, now Mr. Snyder now wants you to impeach him. He knows that he hasn't met the requirements for impeachment so of course become, vocal about it. Pass this bill. Elected officials should be held to a higher standard. All the people are asking is for them to be held to the same standard.

I fully support this Bill 1104. If they wont take care of their own children the should not be trusted with the needs of their city, town, state, ect.

I will pass this link on to all in my address book. As I am sure they feel the same.

[...] The South Bend Tribune today wrote a story about HB 1104, my bill (which I mentioned in an earlier post) that would remove from office any elected official who is more than $15,000 delinquent in child support payments: Dvorak said the proposed legislation is really a “measure of responsibility.” [...]
